Dave Anderson, Elder Chairman
I grew up in Effie, Minnesota, a small “up north” community. I graduated from Big Fork high school and Bemidji State College. I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. My parents, grandparents and Aunt and Uncles nearby all shared the goal of seeing us children learn to serve God. Bible camp was a huge part of my summers. It was at camp I came to see my need for a personal relationship with Christ. I am married to Cheryl and we have four children and seven (going on nine as of 2009) grandchildren. Bible camp is still a huge part of our summers. In 2004 I had experienced a brain aneurysm with a very poor prognoses. God showed us His power by answering many prayers and I am here to show the results. I love to fish and be outside. I am active in the Gideon organization and enjoy going to Carver county jail for Bible studies.

Wayne Hubin
Farm boy from West Central Minnesota. Current profession.......Retired after 34 years of manufacturing operations management.
I came to know the Lord initially when our family attended a series of evangelistic meetings in our country church. During the course of those meetings I went forward (at the age of 8) and confessed my sins and asked the Lord to come and live in my heart. I also remember rededicating my life to Him at Bible Camp when I was age 14. The Lord has given me many opportunities of service and renewal through out the years, and I pray and believe there will be many more, as He enables. I believe there is no retirement from being a witness and follower of Christ.

Church Administrator:
Carol Sumskis
I was born and raised in Plymouth (Hamel) Minnesota, graduated from Wayzata High School and went to work at Warner Hardware in Minneapolis, then Honeywell in Golden Valley, Southfield Michigan, and in Edina I worked as receptionist, computer clerk and secretary. I married my husband Gene in 1974 and we have two married daughters and two sweet granddaughters. I attended church, catechism and sang in the choir growing up and always felt an importance in my faith and going to church, however it wasn’t until some very close friends shared their understanding of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ did I begin seeking after God. There have been many challenges and opportunities to turn to and trust Christ throughout my life. God has given me much to be thankful for; a love for arranging flowers & gardening and cooking and catering weddings and other events. These are only some ways He allows me to honor and serve Him. I am now blessed to be serving as our Church Administrator.
